Residential real estate dispute can arise over property boundary

On Behalf of | Feb 2, 2018 | Uncategorized

Property boundaries are often just a mere line that determines where your property starts and where it ends. Property boundaries exist legally and within a city to help determine a variety of factors, including property size for taxation purposes and for determining property lines. However, sometimes disputes can arise when one person’s property butts up against another. Agreement on boundary lines can be relevant to the resolution of many property-related issues.

Occasionally, there could be a dispute about a property line or boundary. Whether it be with a homeowner’s association, a neighbor or a property dispute with the city – it can become a big issue. Sometimes, other parties want to act on their version of a property line or what they believe to be the property line and it can cause a dispute. This could happen in instances of commercial or residential real estate.

There are a variety of ways to handle property disputes. Some of them may be more beneficial, depending upon the issue’s particulars. Property surveys, quiet title lawsuits and an agreement on boundary lines are all means of settling this issue. Of course, certain tactics may be better suited to your specific real estate dispute.

No one wants to be in a dispute. It can be a stressful and time-consuming issue. If you have been dealing with a property dispute for a long time and just want it settled already, this is a good tactic. Settle the issue legally to ensure that the issue is put to bed.
